SUBJECT: Off-Duty Work Details for Town Employees
As a result of a new State law enacted in 19739it will be neces-
sary for the Town to establish a revolving. fundto pay Town Employees
for off-duty work performed by Town Employees.
The new law will require the Town to bill private contractors
or private employers who occasionally, hire Police, Fire, Highway, or
other lTown 'employees ' for' road details and other special activities.
The Town will bill the private agent for the employee's services,:and
upon receipt of that '_payment, the Town will in turn pay the'employee.
A moderate charge will be added to each bill for the Town's
clerical; services for billing and payroll accounting. For each bill
the Town will charge $1.00 per 'employee listed on the bills to a maxi-
mum of:$5.00 for a bill listing expenses for 5 or more employees.

FROM: Mansfield Planning Board
Rc: Planning 'Board Open House
The Mansfield Planning Board will be holding an open ;louse on 'Monday,
November i25,'1974 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mansfield Town Hall
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the citizens of the Town on the
functions of the Mansfield Planning Board with respect` to local and state
laws and obtain ideas from the citizens on the future zoning articles.
The Planning Board welcomes the participation of the Municipal' Boards' at
this meeting to insure that the plans and programs of other Town Agencies
correspond with that of the Planning Board.
Would you please advise your membership of this meeting in hopes that we
will have representation from your Board.
