Pursuant to notice duly posted in accordance with the
Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, a meeting of the Mansfield
Finance Committee was held on Saturday, February 23, 1991 at 8:00
a.m. at the Mansfield Town Hall. Present at the meeting were
Charles Joseph, Chairman, Joseph Pasquale, Ed McQuaid, Phil Smith
and Gordon Penman. The Board engaged in a lengthy discussion of
the targets that must be met by both the School Department and
Town Manager in order to balance the overall budget. The Board
also discussed the desire to send letters to our State
Representative and Senator, Bill Vernon and Bill Keating,
regarding the implementation by the state of Question 5.
No formal action was taken by the Committee at this meeting.
There being no further business upon motion duly made and
seconded it was unanimously:
VOTED: To adjourn.
