Meeting called to order 8:10 A.M.
Attending members: Phil Smith, Chairman, Barbara Hagg, Ed McQuaid,
Gordon Penmen, Bob Lynch, Tom Brady
Attending non-members: Joe Pasquale, Ed Tartufo, Larry Gallagher,
Joan Cutillo, Bill Williams
Discussion of Parks and Recreation budget with Lorilee Fish. Committee
requested a schedule of time and use of school facilities by Parks and
Recreation Dept.
Discussion of Water Dept. budget with Bob Swanson, and Gerald St. Hilaire.
Discussion of Waste Water Operations Dept, budget with Bob Swanson and
Gerald St. Hilaire. Extensive discussion and questioning regarding
proposed mgmt. reorganization. Discussed the use of depreciation account
as funding mechanism for equipment replacement.
Discussion of Highway Dept. budget with Bob Swanson.
Discussion of Refuse Dept. budget with Bob Swanson. Extensive discussion
regarding possible alternatives to current refuse operations including the
towns recycling operations.
Discussion of Building Operations Dept. budget with Bob Swanson.
Discussion of C.O.A. budget with Gail Farrugia.
. Discussion of Library budget with Dinah Smith.
. Discussion of Health Dept. budget with Henry Austin and Scott Leite.
Discussion of Right to Know budget.
Discussion of Veterans Dept. budget.
Discussion of Treasurer/Collector Dept. budget with Joan Cuttillo. Joan
indicated that her bank fees line item has shown sharp growth -and will
probably require enhancement.
Discussed Data Processing budget with Joan Cutillo.
Discussed Debt Service budget with Joan Cutillo and Larry Gallagher.
Motion made to adjourn by Gordon Penmen. Seconded by Barbara Hagg. Accepted
6-0.
