Various
project
correspondence
was read.
It was noted that the project is nearing completion and the
punch list must be completed soon. Individual punch lists must
be forwarded to the Architect via the MBC Committee" A single
list will be generated and reviewed by all parties"
D. Amsden was commended on obtaining $186,684 in grants for the
library. This grant will he used to offset the project bonding
cost.
The opening date for the building is now May 1, 1989" If this date
is not held, the MBC will seek liquated damages retroactive to
January 15, 1989. The reason for this is the committee has been
patient long enough and the project is still dragging along. In
addition/ the library has scheduled moving and does not need to
reschedule and have unnecessary costs,

The architect noted various delays due to the town's inspector/i;
being "no-shows" at prescheduled appointments. In some cases, the
architect waited until late afternoon fro a morning appointment
prior to leaving without an inspection. In other cases, the
inspector is not "sure" of the test to be done for certification.
Meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
