MacCaffrie stated that A.J. Robicheau manpower is unacceptable. Mansfield School Dept. has been "helping them" when necessary. Requested that A.J. Robicheau give a completion date no later than three weeks from today. Read letter from Palmer & Dodge stating that they are ready to issue bonds by the Town of Mansfield for $19,800,000. Read letter from DEQE accepting dual fuel boilers. Read letter from Corcoran & Jennison dated September 10, 1990 to HMFH (faxed to SM on 9/11/90) asking for a two-week bid extension for file sub bids and general contractors'. SM called RJ and asked if any file sub -bidders called and asked for more time. RJ stated there were none that he knew of. SM then asked RJ to tell Corcoran & Jennison to continue bidding according to the present schedule. SM inquired as to how many GC's were bidding as of that date. RJ stated six. On 9/18/90 SM asked RJ for a list of GC bidders to update the MBC. This list was faxed to SM on 9/18/90. Prior to this SM had no knowledge of GC bidders. Corcoran & Jennison did not take out plans until 9/17/90. Sciaba Construction (SM's employer) took out plans on 9/18/90. SM read a letter dated 9/25/90 to HMFH from Corcoran & Jennison signed by David K. Rosen, President. It stated that they will file a complaint with the Dept. of Labor & Industries if bid period is not extended two weeks. They feel that due to the fact that SM works for Sciaba Construction, Sciaba has an unfair advantage because plans could have been in Sciaba's hands for many months. SM stated that he does not estimate for Sciaba. He has been a Project Manager with them since 8/13/90. SM requested that JM reply to Corcoran & Jennison based on facts and information presented tonight. Read letter stating that R. Gurek has resigned from the MBC because he moved to Norton and is no longer a Mansfield resident. Motion made by EG seconded by FG to make R. Gurek an adviser to MBC.
