Meeting called to order by Chairman, S. MacCaffrie at 7:15 p.m.
MOTION: Accept Secretary's Minutes of July 23, 1991

Correspondence
Letter of August 21, 1991 from HMFH to R.W.Granger regarding the
curtainwall. After meeting with Dick Foley it was agreed to
modify stud framing to properly anchor the curtainwall heads.
Proposal Request #22 of August 19 from HMFH to R.W.Granger to cut
and reweld louver to revised width of 4-6' at 0219.
HMFH August 21 Change Order Directive #12 to remove fallen trees
at west end parking lot and modify louver and masonry opening at
Media Classroom C219 wall.
Fax of August 23 to HMFH from MBC asking cost of planting white
pines 6'-8' instead of Norway Spruce or Winter Honeysuckle.
Notes from August 15 Complex site visit by Simpson Gumpertz &
Heger.
R.W. Granger's August 13 Owner Meeting Minutes #34.
Letter of August 14 from HMFH to R.W.Granger regarding COR #41 and
rock moving. HMFH feels decision in their July 29 letter is final.
Letter of August 14 from HMFH to R.W.Granger advising that under
project spec 01500;2.13 it requires temporary weathertight
enclosures at exterior walls.

Letter of August 15 from HMFH to R.W.Granger which stated that the
MBC thought COR #56 was too high, therefore, advised the
contractor either reconsider price or install sills only per
Detail 6 Sheet A5.6 (no apron).
Transmittal of August 14 from HMFH containing water test reports
from Sumner & Dunbard and Oliveira Environmental Labs from the new
water line.
Letter of August 14 from HMFH to R.W.Granger stating if the owner
does not get within 7 days revised structural wind load
calculations and details for curtainwall system a "stop work"
order will be issued.
Letter of August 13 from HMFH to R.W.Granger asking for a cost
from ProTech is sealant is changed to Sonneborn NP -2.
Letter of August 13 from HMFH to R.W.Granger regarding expenses of
mason due to water line installation and that R.W.G should have
initiated a formal delay claim which was not done.
Fax of August 26 from MBC to HMFH asking for an updated Change
Order Log including responsibility of each Change Order and impact
to project.
R.W.Granger's Owner Meeting Minutes #35 dated August 20, 1991.
Discussion Minutes: MBC advised Clerk he should get
prices for removal of large tree that fell near sanitary
well.
Personal comments from S. MacCaffrie regarding soccer fields at
Complex.
Letter of August 20 from Halvorson Co. to HMFH in which they
provide two schemes for additional playing fields at Complex.
MOTION: Send letter to Board of Selectmen advising
it is not feasible to make new soccer fields
as proposed in Halvorson Company's schemes
because of location of wetlands.

Change Order Proposal #23 from HMFH to R.W.Granger regarding
additional SL2 exterior lighting fixtures along front entrance
pedestrian walkway.
MOTION: To get price to go forward with full lighting
down sidewalk according to SKE #10.
GM/SM (gavel to EG) Vote: 2 for
4 against
MOTION: To accept proposal for one light at end
of pedestrian walkway (bridge).
GM/SM Vote: 5-0-1 (EG abstained)
Letter of August 9 to R.W.Granger from A. French, Construction
Inspector Town of Mansfield requesting a sieve analysis and
compaction test on gravel being used for accessor road to
Complex.
S. MacCaffrie drafted letter to Town Manager stating
A. French is out of line in his procedure for
information.
MOTION: Send letter to Town Manager.

Motion loses due to lack of a second.
Discussion that A. French's letter should be verbally
discussed with Town Manager. R. Gurek felt it is Town
Manager's problem.
Financial
MOTION: Pay invoice for Security System at Mansfield
Public Library.
CA/EG Vote: 3-0-1
MOTION: Approve purchase of Book Box for Mansfield
Public Library not to exceed $1500.
EG/CA Vote: 3-0-0
MOTION: Pay J. O'Keefe $1,350 each for periods
July 26, August 2, 9, 16 and 23, 1991.

Clerk of Works Report
J. O'Keefe reported Power Company has requested to review
electrical and fire alarm drawings. They say no need for
additional. The electrical poles on street do not belong to
telephone company. Joe will get a bid to extend duct bank to
existing poles on Ware Street.
MOTION: Request Change Order Proposal to run
underground wire to Ware Street.
CA/EG Vote: 6-0-0
R. W. Granger thinks they will finish in December 1991.
Next Meeting
August 29, 1991, 7:00 p.m., in High School auditorium.
