MUNICIPAL BUILDING COMMITTEE
AUGUST 25, 1992
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chuck Antonuccio, Emil Giordano, Frank
Guardabuscio, Rob Juusola, Nancy Lohrer, Gary Murphy, Steve
MacCaffrie, Andrea Micheli
The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
The correspondence was reviewed.
The Rayco arbitration hearing was discussed. The final outcome
has not been determined. The parties are still disputing and
this will go onto a higher level to be resolved.
The MBC discussed the additional kindergarten, and voted 4-2-0 in
favor or purchasing the additional equipment that was needed. It
will take about 8 weeks for the furniture and fixtures to be
delivered. All items that were recommended to purchase were
approved with the exception of the projector and stand.
The tackboard issue is soon to be resolved, Bob Gurek will be
working out the final changes that were requested in the
compromise.
The plaques will be ready for the opening day ceremonies on
September 13, 1992.
A pegboard was received wet at the Park Row offices. Nancy was
advised to ship it back and say it was not accepted because it
was sent to the wrong address.
Bob Gurek informed the committee that they will need to purchase
an additional controller and cards to be able to hook up to the
main computer at Southeastern and properly network some
equipment.
The rice stone is being dragged into the school via feet. Bob
would like to work on a solution to this problem to further
protect the floors, he will order the additional mats and
relocate the splasher blocks to this vicinity. The MBC voted 5-
0-0 to authorise Buildings and Grounds keepers to hire an
operator and machine to locate the splash blocks to alleviate the
wash out.
The highway department will be requested to paint lines on the
speed bumps.
A discussion on the ADA compliance took place. When the
Jordan/Jackson school was built it was done so prior to this
legislation. Bob Gurek would like to go on the record stating
that he would like the MBC to absorb the cost if any to comply
with the new legislation. The MBC felt that the legislation was
vague. Od V'A'---
