asbestos removal. The following bids were received:
Suburban Middlesex Insulation, Inc. $109,788.00
Air Quality Experts Inc. $125,750.00

Environmental Technical Services, Inc. $167,000.00
Marcor Environmental, Inc. $186,323.00
MBC Minutes - June 13, 1995
All the bids were reviewed by RECON. In a letter dated, June 12, 1995, they stated the
estimates we were using were from the original asbestos study and the amount of pipe
encased in the QMS is closer to 6000 feet not 3500 feet. There was discussion amount
the members of the committee. Bernie was instructed to have RECON review the
mechanical drawings and give their opinion. The committee will review this further on
June 27 and determine the scope of the work.
The Planning Board will review the site plan for the school projects on June 21, 1995, at
7:30PM.
Representatives from Keyes and Wallace Floyd stated that the Plans are about 90%
complete, they have been submitted to SBAB and approval letters should be forthcoming
in the very near future. Sample materials for the High School were viewed. The members
of the Committee stressed that the proposed color scheme of the High School contained
too many contrasting bands.
Members of the MBC will review the plans for the school projects and give their
comments on June 27, 1995. Members Carpenter and Young will review the Qualters
Middle School, Giordano and Antoine will review the Robinson, MacCaffrie and Feeley
will review the High School.
Discussion concerning the bidding on the project took place. It was decided to bid the
work as one project with the bidders having the opportunity to bid on one, two or all three
projects. Direction must be specified to give the contractors direction on staging areas,
hours of work, phasing, bus traffic, stage areas, maintenance of egress and emergency
systems.
The committee reviewed the Borings Report. A recommendation was made that any
usable excess materials to be removed from the site will be transported to location in
Town, spread acrd compacted. Keyes will have there technical person available at the next
meeting to discuss the report in fiuther detail.
MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 10:15 (Carpenter/Antoine) 7-0-0
