Members Present: Chairman Liddick, Members Young, Feeley, 1 U S E I i
Guests Present: Roger Hoit - Stekalovsky and Hoit, Gary Brait and Mike Brait - BBC,
John D'Agostino - Town Manager, Rick Foster - reporter.
Police Station Project Update
Mike Brait of BBC provided and overview of the items remaining to complete the project. The
following major items will be completed within the next two weeks: lockers delivered and
installed; detention hardware all installed; epoxy flooring complete; painting complete; fire alarm
inspected and tested; ceilings done. All rough inspections have been signed -off and ceilings will
be enclosed within the week.
The existing stairway into the old sallyport does not appear to be a code issue anymore as the
height requirements are met. The Building Inspection Dept. does have an issue with no sink
being installed in the holding area. Roger Hoit is investigating. Currently there is only a toilet
fixture. There also needs to be a light added to the new E911 room. Building Dept. also wants
the car stops in the sallyport removed. This needs to be put in writing prior to instructing BBC to
remove.
BBC will install sheet metal on the existing radio room door to seal it. This has been discussed
and is supposedly acceptable to all parties. BBC will also cut out the wall panel to access the
wiring in the MEMA room.
Chief O'Neill needs to meet with the representative from Best Lock to finalize the keying
schedule. Chairman Liddick will call him to follow-up.
Roger Hoit is already collecting the affidavits to submit to the Building Dept from the designers.
BBC will need to get one from the fire protection system designer and installer. HVAC
balancing are also needed. Member Feeley reminded BBC to make sure that all as -built
drawings are being produced and are up to date from the various subcontractors.
Discussion of Town DPW memo requesting old generator for use at Water Dept. While BBC
owns it per the contract documents at this point they are willing to donate it to the town if it is
removed within a week. All testing of the new generator has been successfully completed.
Chairman Liddick will call Dan Clifford to discuss this issue.
Need to get Roger Hoit to process all remaining change orders as soon as possible. It appears
that Building Inspector Dept. will not approve a sink installation in the photo lab room so BBC
has been instructed to move forward without.

All parties agreed that the date of substantial completion is now January 16th and that the Police
Dept should be planning to move in around February 2nd.
Motion: To approve BBC payment requisition no. 7 in the amount of $272,260 (RF/DY)
approve 4-0-0.
General Issues
John D'Agostino presented a memo listing the costs incurred by the town for unsuitable soils
removal and paving at the Police Station site. The bottom line is he needs $7,000 from the
Central Fire Station account to pay the remaining bills. The number is actually about $7,737.57
since general conditions are not allowed to be taken out of the general contractors contract and
thus where not credited. He has presented this to the BOS and has their support. BOS and Town
Manager will address additional money needs to town meeting in future in order to restore
Central Fire Station project funds. Final paving costs will come from other DPW accounts.
There was a discussion of the Bob Button memo regarding MEMA cable and wiring needs.
MBC has been out of loop and thought all issues had been addressed and that appropriate
departments where budgeting their needs. It appears MEMA has no funds for this wiring. MBC
needs to understand what specific needs are so Mr. Button will be invited to the next meeting.
John D'Agostino asked about the outstanding bill for power costs at the Police Station. Member
1" Feeley reviewed the whole issue for him and pointed out in the specifications the specific
paragraphs indicating that the town owns the costs for powering the radios. The contractor owns
cost for his electrical needs only.
Chairman Liddick updated Mr. D'Agostino on the Police Station generator and that the town will
be able to take it if they do so within the next few days. Otherwise contractor will take it.
Member Young reviewed the status with Consigli Construction. Signed copies of Town Hall
Change Order No. 9($11,702), Final Payment Request for Town Hall ($29,000) and Final
Payment Request for Fire Sation ($5,005) were given to the town manager. Town Hall Change
Order No. 10 ($4,293) is approved but hasn't been returned by Consigli yet. MBC on advice
from town counsel wants four checks made out in those amounts and will release immediately
the change order ones. Mr. D'Agostino will start this in process.
Brief discussion of proposed plaque for Robinson School project. Final discussion tabled until
further info obtained on whether it is in contract documents or has to be done separately.
