POLICE STATION:
Mr. Roger Hoit gave an overview of the situation regarding the code requirements with
the toilets in the cell area and the handicap bathrooms. Chairman Liddick stated that
Chief O'Neill was trying to obtain a sink that complied with penal standards.
Mr. D' Agostino reviewed the situation of the wiring at the Police Station for the MEMA
area. Mr. Bob Button discussed the type of cable that is required. He stated that he is
able to connect the wire to the equipment. Mr. Button needs to have the cable TV wire
run into the office also. Mr. Button will forward the specifications for the wiring to the
Committee. Mr. Button stated that the generator was purchased with Federal Funds. The
Chairman sent a letter to the Town Manager regarding the relocation of the generator.
The generator is now available to be moved.
The Chairman informed the architect that there were two outstanding issues that need to
be responded to prior to the end of business this week. They are the time extension and
the rated door issue.
Member Feeley gave an update of the project. There were several issues to be
completed. Work on the card access system is in progress. Chief O'Neill stated that
there was a problem with blind spots with the camera system in the cell area. There was
discussion regarding the height problem in the cell area with the sprinkler system. Chief
O'Neill raised concerns with the end of the bunk. The Chief stated that he thought that
this area has the potential for series injury. Epoxy floors will be installed within the next
week. The Committee informed the architect that they were dissatisfied with the floor
finish. Member Feeley informed the architect that there were problems with the heat unit
in the sally port. The heat unit that is located in the area now has an open flame.
Although this is not a code issue it causes problems because of the open flame.
Ambulances would not be allowed to access this area because they carry oxygen.
Member Feeley asked about the number of change order items that were outstanding.
There was discussion regarding the installation of the sink in the photo room. Chairman
Liddick stated he would contact the building inspector regarding this issue.
The Chief discussed the sewage smell in the basement. It would be labor intensive to
jack hammer out the floor. Members Young asked if we could install an epoxy finish
over this area to seal this area to help alleviate the smell. Members Feeley and Young
visited the site and did not detect any oder
Member Feeley reviewed the costs from CyberComm to activate and relocate the

TOWN HALL/WEST MANSFIELD FIRE STATION:
Mr. Hoit stated that all manuals have been forwarded to the committee. Member Feeley
asked about the air conditioner. The two outstanding issues on the electrical permit are
the grounding of the fence and the installation of light guards at the flagpole.
ROBINSON SCHOOL PROJECT
The committee asked the GC when he planned to be completed with the project. He
stated that he was anticipating being complete by the end of January with the exception
of the elevator. There was discussion regarding the installation of fencing in the ballfield
area. Mr. MacCaffrie stated that there's some minor landscape work to be completed in
the spring.
The committee reviewed the need to renovate the space that is being temporarily
occupied by the library. The new library will not be available until after the rugs are
installed. The new library cannot be used until after an occupancy permit for this area.
There was also review of the scope of work that is required in the area that is now
occupied by the library. The GC stated that timing is critical so that he can have the
room available while the trades are still on site. The GC stated that he needs the library
to be moved out by January 9n'.
The Chair asked the GC if there are any open issues that are needed to be resolved so that
the job can be completed.
There was also discussion regarding the credits. All the items are being reviewed with
Mr. Parker on a per item basis. This information has not been submitted to the contractor
for his review. The architect stated that he would send this information to the architect to
the contractor by the January 9th. The chair expressed his displeasure with the length of
time it has taken to resolve this issue. The chair stated that he would hold the invoice
until this item is resolved. The GC asked if he could have at least a week and a half to
review this proposed credits.
The Chair asked about the acceptance of the landscape. The architect stated that the
landscape architect will put this is writing.
The status of the epoxy floor was also discussed. There needs to be a three or four day
stretch of time to complete this.
The GC relayed information to the committee regarding the ventilation of corridor. Mr.
Parker asked about the installation of double hung windows. Chairman Liddick asked if
the window shades would not be sufficient.

that prices be obtained for this request.
PCO #114 — VCT: There was discussion regarding the removal of flooring materials in
kindergarten area. This issue was raised in Meeting #9 and the contractor was directed to
remove the carpet. The architect will issue a decision.
Mr. Parker stated that there was a broken water pipe, which caused some extensive
damage. According to the GC it appears that this is due to a faulty coil rather than a
frozen pipe. TCI is recommending that the coil be replaced. This is a warranty item.
There was discussion regarding adding glycol to the system.
Mr. Parker asked about putting oil in the tank. There was discussion regarding the
installation of the gas line.
The architect stated that there was an issue regarding the insulation of VCT. When the
carpet was removed some adhesive was not removed. The Chair asked if Mr. Vogel

There was discussion regarding the ADA hardware issue. This item will be tabled until
the next meeting.
