are due next week. Cheviot to pay JTC for cost of
price for auditorium fire louvers.
Heat - Committee discussed deletion of overhead heat units from original QMS entrance way as
there are sufficient heating units in the area.
Sidewalk Concerns — Question raised regarding sidewalks moving up and down. Question raised
whether movement was due to frost.. Additional concern was raised about possible trapping
water. Need to follow up with Michael Callahan and Marc Jaoude (JTC).
Gym Ceiling Repair — Issue re: significant spalling in gym ceiling caused by subcontractor's use
of improper size materials. Test patch on QMS gym ceiling to be done during April 1999 school
vacation. Project Coordinator Chris Sullivan is investigating possible alternative repair options.
Roof Flashing JTC submitted Premier Roof revised cost in the amount of $138,000.00 vs.
$102,000.00. Reason stated for increasedamount was because Dan Freeman (Keyes Assoc.)
advised that MBC had rejected $5,000.00 cost requested by JTC. MBC only asked for back up
at that time (i.e. up-to-date Release of Liens). Amount to be further evaluated.
JTC Mark-up Charge JTC requested higher mark up be allowed; 15% for work performed on T
& M basis and 8% for sub -contractors. JTC wants 20% to cover excessive administration costs
on small projects. Comparable Keyes' Projects are 17.5% and 8%. Per JTC, no one else has
questioned mark up percentage on their projects. Rich Feeley responded that most T&M work is
for unforeseen conditions. Very few for lump sum proposal rejections. Montle really only
subcontractor not realistic with quotes. No chane to mark-up approved. Marc Jaoude to submit
cash flow for QMS and MHS. '
