Delicate musical instruments were found piled in the middle of the room causing a substantial delay of morning music classes. MBC Chairman will address issue with J.T. Callahan at Thursday job site meeting. Ball Feld - Linc Lynch noted that Girls Softball is planning to build a softball field behind QMS. It was noted that J.T. Callahan has control of the field area at this time, within their contract. Rich Feeley requested the Project Coordinator take pictures of this area to document conditions. Photos also used to coordinate revised work area with JTC. MANSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL Air ConditioninaJCentral Office — School Superintendent has approved replacement of the AC unit in the central office. Linc Lynch submitted three quotes for installation. The School Dept. and MBC agreed that Walter Parker would coordinate installation of the unit. Masonry — Jim May reported that while the Structural Engineer was on site, a masonry error was detected in the size of window block. 8" deep masonry lintels were used instead of 16" above ls` and 2"d floor windows. Suggestion was made to have the continuous bond beam filled solid with grout. Structural Engineering, Jack Heron is requesting additional information from mason subcontractor. Jim May assured the MBC that checks would be done to test load. Keyes will review issue. Jim May will follow up. If blocks are already fitted then they may be acceptable. Lintels — Jim May noted that Quinn Brothers provided lintel submittal without changes. Mr. May commented that Quinn Brothers made their own changes that resulted in inaccurate size. Decision was made to cut and drop the lintel so there will be enough room for windows. Summer Schedule - Summer moves are ahead of schedule at this time for MHS. Paul Letendre proposed that he work a varied schedule over the summer months 10:30AM to TOOPM to enable monitoring of both I'` and 2"d shift work. It was noted that a permit is required from Fire Dept. to weld inside building. Paul Letendre will follow up. Callahan is aware that they must provide the same number of usable rooms when school is back in session. Issue to be further discussed at site meeting. Sprinkler — Jim May noted that contractor will be running mains to new additions. Rich Feeley questioned whether the location of the Storz connection, installed by Yankee Sprinkler, was approved by Fire Dept. Lt. Sarre. Paul Letendre to confirm. Dark Room — Walter Parker informed the MBC that the dark room would no longer be a part of school programming. Jim May questioned whether it is necessary to build a dark room as part of the contract.
