Committee members highlighted numerous work issues throughout the school that are still incomplete, unsatisfactory, and/or rejected (i.e. Caf6 expansion joint, Auditorium floor patch & handicap rails) Keyes Project Administration – Manpower provided by Keyes Associates is still insufficient. Chairman demanded that Keyes Associates immediately assign additional man-hours to the QMS Project to coordinate a "final" punch list and ultimate close out. Chairman disputed Mr. Vogel's argument by reiterating that Keyes Associates has not staffed the job properly in replacing a full time Project Manager with only a part-time Architect. Chairman asked that all parties cooperate and dedicate time needed to close the job. Supplementary Punch List – Chairman informed the Committee that he directed Paul Letendre to work Wednesday (6/21/00) through Friday (6/23/00) at QMS to generate a supplemental punch list. Bob Vogel committed that Steve Chmura would be on site to assist for these three full days. Member, Ken Gay also offered assistance. After final list is generated and provided to JTC, JTC is expected to respond to the MBC with date that work would be completed. Direct Payment Requests – Chairman raised concern about still receiving Direct Payment requests with so much work remaining. Rich Feeley noted that the Town is only able to withhold the value of the monetized punch list. Michael Callahan agreed to respond to (2) new Direct Payment Requests from Construction Consulting and McLaughlin Mechanical by Wednesday, June 21, 2000. rrr Auditorium — Paul Ciaramitaro reported that JTC plans to install a transition strip at handicap seating area in rear. Si na e — Paul Ciaramitaro noted that a letter "O" in the word "School" on the exterior of the building is not fastened properly. JTC will secure. Boiler Room — Chairman questioned status of the pipe handrail, cut by JTC to perform work, but not replaced. Michael Callahan disputed that JTC cut the handrail, but did agree to replace rail at no cost. Rich Feeley commented that the contract lacks common sense and may not follow basic building practices in some cases, however this does not excuse the architect or contractor from their responsibilities under the contract. Window Conflict — Issue still pending. Keyes was unable to provide window mock up as promised. Bob Vogel explained that Keyes is meeting with new company next Tuesday to discuss alternative fix of windows impeded by partitions. Michael Callahan commented that he is holding monies from Cheviot Corp. for roof blocking. Chairman questioned status of JTC's payments made to Cheviot and asked Contractor to notify Cheviot regarding rejected work.
