Acorn Mfg. driveway, radius goind under the bridge does not conform to the
regulations and should be increased, there is a dead end street without

Mansfield Housing Authority met with the Board to discuss their proposed
housing project for the elderly off Pratt Street. The sewer system will
be.tied into Pratt 'Street sewer with an 8" pipe. The plan showed five
buildings with 12 units in each, a community building and
recreation area to the rear, The Housing Authority will have to go to
the Board of Appeals for several variances, the land is zoned Agriculture,
-the State only allows 450 square feet per apartment where the Zoning By-law
states there must be 600 square feet, they do not have the required frontage on
a public way, Zoning calls for two parking spaces for each unit and the
project will have one for every two units, Zoning prohibits parking in the
front yard, there would be sidewalk on only one side of the street, length
of the cul de sac would be 6801, It was suggested that the Housing Authority
submit this as a preliminary plain to the Planning Board, Approval of the
Planning Board is needed prior to the application of variance because of
the frontage requirement.
The Board will meet with the Housing Authority on August 7 at 9PM to
discuss Urban Renewal projects. In the meantime, Town Planner will send
out the information to each Housing Authority Member.
