The Mansfield Planning Board met at the Mansfield High School Auditorium on
Monday, February 5, 1973, at 7:00 P.M.
Present: Chairman Mendes, Clerk Grant
Planners: Nelson, Latham, MacFarlane, Zaffini
Town Planner Maurer
1. Board reviewed a copy of revised Article 7 to be presented at the Special
Town Meeting. The Article contained amendments to the performance standards.
Chairman;r Mendes, Clerk Grant and Planner Zaffini indicated their agreement
to ,present this amendment to the Special Town Meeting. Planner Nelson was
opposed to the wetland provisions because he felt the wetlands could be ad-
equately protected through the enforcement of existing state and local ,laws.
Planner Latham was opposed to the amende& regulations on wetlands because he
felt that they were not strict enough. Planner MacFarlane was opposed to
presenting amendments to the article at this time because he felt the Board
should have met in the previous week to discuss any amendments.
Because there was, not a consensus of opinion to present the amendments, it
was the consensus of the Board to propose Article 7 as originally proposed.
