Board will not accept any more rail crossings across Francis Avenue if that
was the way they felt. Planner Wellington noted that what he wanted tosee
was a properly engineered plan before the Board would take any action one
way or the other.
16. Board reviewed the application to the Board of.`Appeals of Frederick W. Allen
for a variance under Section IV, Schedule "B" of the Zoning By -Law to construct
a garage on his property at 70 Walnut Street that would have a side yard
measurement of less than fifteen (15) feet which would be non -conforming in a
Residence"A" Zone, it was the consensus of the Board to hold this out until
next week so that the Board could get a clarification on the side yard
measurement.

23. Board met with William O'Malia. Mr. O'Malia noted that he had appeared before
the Board of Appeals last night and they suggested that he come before the
Planning Board regarding the wording of the variance granted to him. The
Bank will not grant him a mortgage the way the variance is worded to William
O'Malia only. Chairman Zaffini noted that on November 5, 1973 the Planning Board
sent a letter to the Board of Appeals recommending that the variance be worded
to William O'Malia only, because the parking for the proposed building would have
to be shared with an adjacent site which is owned by Mr. O'Malia and that if
Mr. 0114alia did not construct the building, then another person putting a
commercial use on the property could not get the required parking spaces. He
wanted the Board's recommendation on how to change the wording in the variance,
but the Board suggested that he have his attorney draft a proposal and then
present it to the Board at their next meeting.
24. Board reviewed the minutes of March 13, 1974 and made the following changes:

Wellington suggested that some type of running log be kept on these items so
that they don't slip by.

Meeting should start. Planning Director noted that the meeting would not be
able to start on time this year. Planner Wellington asked if it was in order
to print. the :Town Report without Article 2 and start the Town Meeting on time,
then when Article 2 is ready, print it and take it as the last item. He suggested
that the Planning Director send a letter to the Board of Selectmen with a copy
