one of the problems that the Town has hadin the past is that they did

and will then hold hearings ;to try to come ,up with 'a solution. 'Planner

private developers. He noted that they are also going to follow up
on the Housing Authorities grant application for housing on the site.
Planner Mangiaratti noted that they also discussed a beautification
project and are going to try to encourage merchants to improve the
area. He noted that there is some money available for planters, or
perhaps trees, and thought that they might be able to get more money

project, such as the Planning Director does for the Planning Board.

It was the consensus of the Board that when they advise SRPEDD of the
appointment of Planner Mangiaratti that they also note that Wednesday
evening is very conflicting for the Planning Board and perhaps that they
would consider changing their meeting night.'
It was noted that the material will be sent to the appointee and that
they should advise the Board as to what is going on and if there is
something that the Planning Board should be represented at SRPEDD then
they will postpone the Planning Board agenda.
Planner Mahana suggested the possibility of meeting on Thursday evening

9. Board discussed the 1978-79 Work Program. Chairman Parsons noted that
at the last meeting he brought up, items to be considered: for the 1978-79
work program and questioned if the members of the Board had any items they
wanted to consider.
It was considered to: rezone South Main and Fruit Street as well as the
land lacross `from Sweet Manufacturing. It was noted that corners Garage
should be commercial'' and not industrial. It was noted that the chatting
of this zoning would make Cleveland Twist Drill a non -conforming use.
Planner Mahana noted he read an article in the paper on the bottle bill
and felt that the Planning Board should be careful who they; endorse
when the industry moves to Town. Chairman parsons noted that they ;have
never- gone and congratulated anyone, as the ;Planning Board.'
