The Board discussed the Wind Chime Acres Subdivision on Ware Street.
Planner'Brugliera left the meeting at this time. Planning Director
Maurer told the Board that Mike Wayland of the 'Soil Conservation_
Service took soil samples on the site. He is going; to write the Board
a letter on the results and will show on a map where the wetland area
is. He stated that on one side of Wind Chime Drive it was his opinion
that the edge of the swamp .was the edge of the wetland. He showed on the
plan what was found but noted that they should wait for the report and
map from Mike Wayland. Planning Director Maurer also stated that Mr.
Wayland told him: that on any development the Soil Conservation Service
would make an on-site inspection and give areport.:
The Board met with Ronald Bonvie and Ralph;Maloon. 'Mr. Maloon told the
Board he won't have the other items requested until Monday or Tuesday
and will give them_to the Planning Director::as soon as he gets them.
Mr. Bonvie asked if it would be alright for him to call GHR Engineering
to discuss some of the problems involving the information they have
requested, if between now and Tuesday a simple call would help. He felt'
that would help to expedite the project. It was the consensus of the
Board that that would be a, good idea.
8)
Barbara Jones met with the Board and, gave them a newspaper clipping on a-
watershed study done by SRPEDD in 1978 and wanted to know if it had
actually been done. Planning Director Maurer noted the study had been
made and it was done; on ground water quality for the entire Town not just
the 'Canoe River watershed. A copy ,of the study is available in the Planning
Board office. He noted that this study was used to 'eliminate the pond
development section from the ;By-law.
9)
Chairman Flynn read the letter from the Conservation Commission on the
Henley -Lundgren proposal to remove the buffer between the Clemmey and
Gray gravel removal areas. The letter stated that a wetland hearing
would be required and that they feel it is not in the best interests of
the Town. Chairman Flynn felt they should be more specific about what
they mean about the statement, "not in the best interests of the Town".
Planning Director noted the reason for needing a wetland hearing is that
the original Order of Conditions in order to keep the pond clean had a
series of ditches that were a part of the pond, and there could be no
development in the buffer area. He noted that the removal of the buffer

wouldn't have to pay the bill.

Highway Department about cleaning the retention area of Rustic Drive and
was told that it private property. Planning Director Maurer noted
he had spoken to the Town Manager and told him that the easement had
been accepted at the 1980 Town Meeting. It was the consensus of the
Board to write a letter to Town Manager Metropulos telling him the
easement Was accepted by the 1980'Annual Town Meeting.
