6) The Board discussed the Cabot Pond restoration proposal. Planning
Director Maurer noted that there have been no comments received from
Boards and Committees on the plan. It was noted that the Board would
like to, receive comments from the Town Engineer on the plans and
calculations, particularly with respect to the impact of the one
hundred year flood.
Motion: To have the Town Engineer review the plans and calculations
submitted by Allen L. Willis, Jr,. and Robert E. Chavaree on
the Cabot Pond restoration and to invite the Town Engineer
to attend the hearing in case questions arise that he could
answer.
(Seifert - Genatossio, all in favor) VOTED
7) Planning Director Maurer told the Board that they should look into the
method of ownership planned for the pond in the Wind Chime Acres Sub-
division plan. He noted it has been divided into eight lots and he
felt that it should be under one ownership.. The Board decided to visit
the Bonvie Subdivision on May 6, 1980 at 5:30 P. M. and to invite Ralph
Maloon and Town Engineer Tony Stanzione to accompany the Board.
8) The Board reviewed the Corrofab Site Plan. It was noted that they do
not want to go along with the recommendations of the Town Engineer. It
was also noted that the letter from 411 Realty Trust does not say what
the Board requested on granting permission for the drainage. It was
felt that the letter should be tied to the plan.
Town Engineer Stanzione met with the Board. He was asked if there would
be more water discharged by using the drains or by letting the water go
naturally. Engineer Stanzione noted that if there is a heavy rain the
catch basins will hold the water rather than letting it all go at once.
He noted that it would cost around two thousand dollars to do the work
the way he recommended.
