There was documentation brought in on the amount of loam, which is 1,400 yards. However, this was not stamped by an engineer. The board received a letter from Town Counsel explaining the procedure for taking the money being held. Wendy's Site Plan Samuel Corbill, Area Director, and Ken Tobolski, Supervisor, appeared before the Planning Board representing Wendy's. They explained that they have a store under construction in Seekonk; and the reasons they have not completed the site plan is because they would like to tie both sites together. In reference to the trees, the board was informed that they were planted twice, but they kept dying in the winter. Therefore, a representative went to the Inspector of Buildings and asked if they had to have both the fence and the trees. The Building Inspector said that the By-law calls for either a fence or trees. Chairman Genatossio said that the board has received complaints from the residents on Campbell Street and Henry Street regarding the trees and the loudspeaker. Ken Tobolski informed the board that Wendy's has had the people from New England Sound in the adjust the loudspeaker. It is now down to a lower volume. He said that it may be load because they get alot of truck in, and they have to hear above the motor. He pointed out that they are having difficulty now hearing orders. Sam Corbill said that they had a_so-und study .done -for—their--store in Greenfield because it was surrounded by residential homes. He presented the board with a copy of the study. It was suggested to construct a wooden barrier near the loadspeaker. There was discussion on whether there would be enough room for the cars to maneuver and also if a fire truck could get by. Planner Flynn pointed out that the trees were to be planted to absorb some of the sound from the loadspeaker. It was pointed out that there is only 18" to plant the trees. The speaker is already aimed down. .They will look into putting a barrier up, but they don't feel the fire trucks would be able to get around it.
