6) Planning Director Folkman told the Board he would have a memorandum for
the Board on both E R C Corp. Earth Removal Hearing and the Cabot, Cabot
and Forbes Subdivision Hearing the week before the hearings so they could
discuss the plans before the hearings.
7) Planning Director Folkman told the Board that he has sent letters to about
fifteen different towns asking for a copy of their fee schedule and when
he gets answers he will bring up the fee schedule again.
8) Planning Director Folkman reviewed his memorandum to the Board on the
Water Supply Protection District. He told the Board that next week
Bill Maravelle and Steve Smith from SRPEDD will be here to discuss it.
He showed the Board the recharge map of the Town for existing wells. He
noted that the water supply protection district is based on protecting
existing and future wells. SRPEDD will bring a new recharge map with
them next week showing existing and future well site recharge areas.
He told the Board that he used SRPEDD's wording for the memorandum and
would insert items into the various areas of the By-law.
*Clerk Kaufman entered the meeting at this point.
Planning Director Folkman told the Board that the density should be
increased to one dwelling unit per acre in recharge areas. He also noted
that this is just a rough draft and he wants the Board to take the memo
home to review it for a week. He told the Board that the concept of a
water supply protection district is to try to protect the ground water
that we are utilizing for a water supply. He noted that in areas where
the recharge area goes into another town, the towns will have to get
together to work out an agreement between the towns to protect each other's
water supply.
Planning Director Folkman told the Board that Whitman and Howard have a
major consultant proposal in before the Town on Water Protection and it
will be discussed on Friday. He noted he is waiting to hear about that
meeting before he makes any decision on the article he has drafted.

told him about the situation. He has written a letter to Mr. Rizzo asking
for correspondence on the letter of credit for Plantingfield Road that
is missing from the Board's file. The letter of credit is good until
April 1981..
11) Chairman Flynn read the Board of Health minutes for December 3, 1980
where Ronald Bonvie asked for an extension on his lots for 'Mind Chime
Acres for perc tests and it was granted. She noted that the lots numbers
have been changed and that he has asked to have three lots that didn't
pass reperced.after they are filled. Concern was expressed that the lots
might be near the pond. Planning Director Folkman will check with Mr.
Bonvie on the location of the three lots in quesiton.
12): Clerk Kaufman told the Board that on page 40 of the Zoning By-law Section
2-c, the last sentence states that the Building Inspector shall forward a
copy of the plot plan for a new building or alteration to the Planning
Board. He noted that if that is not being done then either it should be

for consideration.

the Board of Selectmen to hire a new Town Engineer because the Board needs
