AGENDA
0j P,
MAY 13, 1986
Present: Chairperson Flynn, Clerk Quinn
Planners: Annino, Boldrighini, Genatossio, Madan
Planning Director Callinan
Town Engineer Campo
Applicants & Engineers: Mike Trowbridge, RIM Engineering
Ronald Bonvie and Paul Folkman
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
16 "Massapoag Estates"
Discussion on Drainage System:
Joseph Campo, Town Engineer, recommended that the drainage be directed to
flow only in Mansfield for the purpose of maintenance. Paul Folkman
then asked the Board whether a combination of both leaching pits and
retention basins would be more desirable than using leaching pits only,
The Board discussed the proximity of wetlands to the site and the elimi-
nation of many structures if the combination system was used. sed. Mr. Campo
preferred the use of retention basins for a development this size. The
Board agreed.
Paul Folkman proceeded to discuss the cut of the road in order to direct
flow to Mansfield. Mr. Campo explained that it was not necessary to
allow further cutting of the road since additional drainage mains and
their location would essentially perform all that would be necessary
to direct the drainage solely into Mansfield.
Motion: Not to allow any further cutting of the road in order to allow
drainage into Mansfield.

Maple Street:
Paul Folkman continued by raising the question of the traffic impact
that this development will have on Maple Street (a concern raised
earlier by some Board members).
Mr. Folkman also asked the Board for their comments regarding Chief
Earls memorandum of May 6, 1986 stating that his position has not
changed, that he is still opposed to any subdivision off Maple Street,
due to the condition of the road.
Mr. Folkman outlined to the Board the following proposed improvements
to the flow of traffic:
1. To improve sight distance to the west, willing to
0
level off a portion of Maple Street, under the
direction of D. P. W.

Chairperson Flynn asked the Planning Director whether he
has reviewed the file in regard to -this subdivision.
Mr. Callinan responded that the performance bond apparently
has lapsed and, given the sixteen (16) years since the date
of the original approval of Erick Road, it may be worth
considering to proceed under Section 81W, Chapter 41,
Motion: To proceed to rescind, modify or amend under Section.
81W, Erick Road.
