Present: Chairperson Flynn, Clerk Quinn
Planners: Annino, Madan and Genatossio
Planning Director Callinan
1. Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. at the Mansfield High School.
2. Chairperson Flynn stated that she would like a motion to reconsider the
Planning Board's recommendation on the Planned Residential Development
article which will be heard at the Annual Town Meeting this evening in
lieu of Town Counsel's determination to eliminate the time limit of one
year of effectiveness on this article.
Motion: To reconsider the Planning Board's original recommendation
on Article 50 for Planned Residential Developments to be
heard at the Annual Town Meeting.
(Quinn - Annino - All in favor)
The Planning Board had discussion relative to status of the Special
Permit regulations and they had a concern of the amount of time it would
take to prepare such regulations and what should happen if the regula-
tions are not prepared by the time a proposal such as this is submitted
to the Board for approval. They also discussed the lack of the regulations
in this Bylaw for registration of an architect and engineers, etc. and also
the lack of the dimensional requirements (Chapter 40A, Section 9).
*Planning Director Callinan entered the meeting at this time.
The Board felt that a provision such as Planned Residential Developments
should be looked at in a Master Plan.
Motion: To send a negative recommendation on Article 50 - Planned
Residential Developments to be heard at the Annual Town
Meeting.
