An Open Meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held in Jordan/Jackson
room B102 on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. ",F !._[

The meeting was opened and called to order by Keira O'Neil at 4:28 pm.
Members present:
Kiera O'Neil, Chair
Linda Fernando
Lauren Scher (arrived at 4:29)
Jenn Walsh
Others present:
Zeff Gianetti, Superintendent of Schools
Teresa Murphy, Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Ed Vozella, Director of Finance and Operations
Andrew Waugh, district legal counsel
A vote was held to allow the High School Band and Choir to leave before 6 am for the
field trip to Disney.
A motion was made to approve this change by Jenn Walsh, with a second from Linda
Fernando.
Motion Carries 3-0
Motion to adjourn by Linda Fernando at 4:30 pm, seconded by Jenn Walsh.
Motion carries 4-0.
At 4:30 Kiera O'Neil asked for a motion to enter into executive session:
Executive session began at 4:31 p.m. per vote from Open Session pursuant to M.G.L.
Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following Purposes:
Under Exception No. 3: To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or
litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or
litigating position of the public body and the Chair so declares.
