Exactly four years ago today I was delighted to learn that I was one of five people appointed to the newly created Historical Commission. As a newcomer to the town I was espec_ially_pleasent._Since..__that—t+mom T have served on the Commission with much enjoyment. And in the course of that time it has been my pleasure to meet many fine people --fellow members of the 'Commission, elected officials, and Town Hall employees. I will no longer be able to serve on the Commission because I am moving to f Ann Arbor, Michigan to resume research on my dissertation for the Ph.D. in American Culture. While I look forward to returning to the University of Michigan, I will take with me fond memories of both the Commission and the town. Johnson ield Historical Commission
