MINUTES
March 12, 1981
Present: Chairman Saquet, Clerk Antonuccio
W. Verzola, T, Durbano
1. Letter from William DeStefano, Assistant Superintendent regarding roof
conditions at the Robinson School, Advise Mr. DeStefano to review the bond
on the roof and list the problems to the roofing contractor. If the
contractor fails to respond he should get back to the MBC.
2. Meeting of March 6, 1981 at the High School regarding high school roof
(transcript on file)
Consensus was that since the roof has not leaked it is not failing. We
cannot take legal action until the roof fails. Burgess and Blacher has
done their job. The only problems are the tar flowing into drains, that
is a maintenance problem. it is up to the School Department to take care
of the drains and replace them. Dave Blacher stated as soon as he received
his $5,000 final payment he will have his people remove the tar on the
fascia.
Letter to be sent to Koppers requesting their advise as to what to do
to correct the problem. Blacher stated that Koppers never got back to them
about where and how to install the roof drains.
Motion: To pay Burgess and Blacher $5,000.00 final payment

3. Minutes of February 26
Motion: Approve

4. Discussed the roofing consultant for high school roof. It was determined
that there was really nothing they could tell us. Suggested leaving the
article in the Town Meeting warrant and either table the motion or ask
for a sum of $1.00.
