Robert Saquet requested a letter to Town Counsel and check
original charter for wording on Associate members of Building
Committee responsibility to other projects.
Letter from Gale Engineering for D.P.W. and salt shed gas
depot. They will be up -dating salt shed to code and looking
into Mass. laws concerning fuel storage for preliminary invest-
igation. Above ground storage would cost less but didn't pin
down costs.
Robert,Paza and R. Wilson were to do fuel dump on shed first
then left over monies to complete re -work of garage.
Question on how $150,000 figure was determined and requested
that the fuel and salt requirements need so that actual cost to
build could be determined.
It was indicated that the services for the garage portion of
work would be around $21,000.00 which is approximately 15%. This
was discussed at length.
Gale Engineering countered if we want to OeLre the scope
of work then the Committee should hammer out figures and submit
to Gale to accept or reject.
It was suggested that a letter be sent to Gale:
A) Salt shed to be designed and contracted for a 7% fee
not to exceed $4,000.00.
B) Fuel depot same fee.
C) D.P.W. garage to be renovated to extent of new roof,
electrical as needed to code, heating improved, overhead
door access as needed, repair to structural damage and to
make allowance for future expansion to the west.
