MINUTES OF MEETING - January 9, 1988
The meeting was calledto order at 8:00 P.M. in the Library
by Chairman MacCaffrie;with only William Verzola absent.
Also present wereJudy Epstein, Gail Farrugio and Robert
Saquet.
The minutes of the meeting of December 21, 1987 were approved
as written.
A bill for $102.95 for secretarial services was approved for
payment.
Judy Epstein presented,a draft of the front specs and after
discussion among the board, it was unanimously voted that change
orders would be lump spm at 17% for the general contractor and/or
file sub with a 10% markup on file subs which shall include
insurance and/or surcharge.
Design Partnership waslauthorized to advertise for the clerk
of the works and review applicants for the committee to make

a choice. i

Judy Epstein assured the committee that the survey information
required was done with'a bench mark and a corner site at Pratt
and Hope Streets.

David Fisher will be doing the landscape plans and she will
request that he check with several of the local landscapers.
Judy showed the committee some brick samples, with one a rough
face surface which could be used in a one course feature strip.
She will bring some other colors to the next meeting for a
selection.
The committee. agreed on vinyl clad windows and a vinyl vented
soffit. Unglazed quarry tile will be used in the entrance way
with a recessed heavy rubbed mat. Some of the interior finish
was discussed and finaldecisions will be made at a later date.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M. with the next meeting being
with the school associates at the High School Library at 7:30
on January 11, 1988. The next meeting on the Library will be
January 18, 1988 in the Library at 8:00 P.M.
