Meeting Called to order at 7:35 for the purpose of school building
business"
Contract reviewed by town manager" He raised several issues and HMFH
has aggred to all except the liability insurance requirements as his
carrier will not cover such a change" Still awaiting for inputs from
town counsel"
Various options were discussed regarding school furnishings. No firm
decisions were made regarding this matter as it is still extremely
early"
Meeting on school business closed at 7:45 P.M.
The meeting was called to order for the purpose of Library / COA
building business.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and accepted as amended.
Steve M. noted wording of letters from the architect to the
contractor is indicative that the contractor should proceed
without MBC approval changes. The architect indicated the
correspondence were requests for approvals and NOT approvals.
The contract to provide interior millwork was awarded to
Iacarrino^ Steve M. suggests D. Amsden follow up with a
contract ASAP.,
Notice from the contractor regarding an invoice for $2268
(re: orange brick). This color brick was unacceptable to the
MBC as it differed from the original sample and the MBC
requests the architect to negotiate with the supplier to
take it back at no cost" Steve M. notes also that the copy of
the invoice attached to the notice documents a charge of $450
and NOT $2288.
The contractor forwarded a list of change orders that were
pending action. MBC reviewed all and commented. These change
� orders were documented in a memo dated 11/23/88 from the
contractor to the architect" All change orders pending will
he reviewed with the architect as a total entity"

the integrity was not comproft ised> and that the MBr should
receive a credit on unused material.

amount of $6500 from the architect.
Motion made, seconded and approved to accept invoice for $3300
(subject to review by architect for cost owned by MBC and cost owned
by general contractor) for work performed at direction of MBC
chairman to prevent water damage to building.
The MRC was directed to send e seven day notice to genera]
contractor to remove water damaged materials (drywall and
insulation).
The building connector plates were discussed again as it was noted
they were STILL not done right" MDC chairman notes the MBC will
take action.
