Request for Bids
The Town of Mansfield invites sealed bids from interested contractors for "RFB#
DPW17-92 Supply and Installation of New Playground Equipment at
Memorial Park in Mansfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the specifications
and documents. The Town of Mansfield will receive sealed bids at the DPW Office
until 10:OOAM on September 07, 2016 at which time they shall be opened and read
aloud. Bids must be in a sealed envelope and on the outside be clearly marked with
the date and description of the bid. Bids received after the hour named will not be
considered.
The Project consists of: Supply and installation of various pieces of playground
equipment and all associated works.
Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor
and Industries apply to this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in
an amount that is no less than five (5%) percent of the proposal amount made
payable to The Town of Mansfield. Bid deposits shall be a certified check, bid bond,
treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. A
Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance will be
required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the General Laws, Chapter
149 Section 44A through 44J as most recently amended, and other applicable laws.
This project is being E -Hosted through Projectdog, Inc. Go to
www.Projectdog.com and click "Sign Up" for free, or login with your existing
account. Enter Project Code 814347 in the project locator box. Select "Acquire
Documents" to download bid documents, review a hard copy at Projectdog's physical
location, or request a free project CD. Bidders may obtain one full paper bid set from
Projectdog for a refundable deposit of $25.00 made payable to Projectdog in the form
of certified check or money order. The full amount of the deposit will be refunded to
all responsive bidders returning the Contract Documents in good condition within ten
(10) days after date of general bid opening. Otherwise, the deposit will become the
property of Projectdog, Inc. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor,
subcontractor, vendor, individual and/or corporation to review all ADDENDA prior
to bid opening at www.Projectdog.com or at Projectdog's physical location. Questions

Contractors are required to be certified by the Playground Manufacturer to install the
equipment proposed to bid on this work.
The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to
accept any bid or portion thereof deemed by them to be in the best interest of the
Town. Bidders are reminded that the Town Officials other than those listed above
neither individually not collectively are to be contacted, nor will they discuss any bids
prior to the scheduled opening. Prior questions or concerns about the bid should be
