REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQs)

In accordance with M.G.L. c. 149 § 44 (A -M), the Town of Mansfield is seeking
qualified general contractors and filed sub -contractors to submit Statements of
Qualifications (SOQs) for the construction of a new 40,000+ square foot, one story
(with mezzanines) pre-engineered, modular DPW facility, demolition of the existing
Highway Department building, construction of a new, 38,000+ square foot, two story
combined (Police + Fire) Public Safety facility and related site work.
Sub -bid categories include: masonry; miscellaneous and ornamental iron;
waterproofing, dampproofing and caulking; roofing and flashing; metal windows;
glass and glazing; tile; acoustic tile; resilient floors; painting; elevators; fire protection;
plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and electrical work.
Any contractor seeking to be prequalified as both a general contractor and
subcontractor for a particular filed sub -bid trade(s) is required to file separate
responses to this RFQ.
The estimated cost of this project is $30 million dollars.
This project is being E -Hosted through Projectdog, Inc. Go to
www.Projectdog.com and click "Sign Up" for free, or login with your existing
account. Enter Project Code 812016 beginning April 13, 2016 in the project locator
box. Select "Acquire Documents" to download (SOQ) documents, review a hard
copy at Projectdog's physical location, or request a free project CD. Bidders may
obtain one full paper (SOQ) set from Projectdog for a refundable deposit of $25.00
made payable to Projectdog in the form of certified check or money order. The full
amount of the deposit will be refunded to all responsive firms returning the Contract
Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after date of (SOQ) deadline for
submission. Otherwise, the deposit will become the property of Projectdog, Inc. It is
the sole responsibility of the contractor, subcontractor, vendor, individual and/or
corporation to review all ADDENDA prior to (SOQ) deadline at
www.Projectdog.com or at Projectdog's physical location. Questions regarding the
website or project distribution should be directed to Projectdog at (978) 499-9014.
General contractors and filed sub -contractors must be pre -qualified to bid on
the project. The deadline when SOQs are due is Friday April 29h, 2016 at 11:00
AM for both sub -contractors and general contractors. The SOQ shall be submitted
to the Owner's Project Manager ATTN: Mr. Michael Ahern, Department of Public
Works, 6 Park Row, Mansfield, MA 02048.
