4. Update on 2016 Grant Requests:
Town:
• Parks & Recreation Department: All set on the request $2,459
• Friends of Memorial Park: Not contacted as they were contacted twice and no
AS
response.
• Beautification Committee: Pat Colbert contacted and she will get the quotes to the
office for 5/6 for the meeting. Banner, design, trifold brochure printing $3,452.00
• Mural Committee: Need update from Nancy Wall on progress
Mural Committee for descriptive "key" for the mural $5,000.00 — (2013, 2014 & 2015)
Request additional extension
Mural Committee to update/create a brochure telling the history of the mural $2,560
(2014 & 2015) Request additional extension
• Historical Commission: All set on the request. $11,000
Schools:
• Robinson Elementary School: All set on the request $6,000
Other:
• Mansfield Citizen Scholarship: All set on the request $1,000
• MMAS:
Upgrade sound system. $5,248
Underwrite cost of revamped Music & Arts Festival Purchase banner. $6,100 Contacted
Ken and told that we do not buy t-shirts/underwrite operating expenses and we need a
quote from the vendor doing the banner. 4/28/16
• Natural Resources Trust: All set on the request $4,000
• Pop Warner Football: Uniforms for a new player age group —
2014 ($373.00) Letter sent to Board w/no response. One Board member stopped in and
spoke w/Sherri but Pop Warner still did not call or answer our request. A new letter will
be sent this year.
2016 request: Cheerleader uniforms and megaphones. Request not complete but not
contacted due to past history $4,000
• Spring Brook Cemetery Corp.:
Paint chapel, sand/refinish floor, wiring for wall sconces. Waiting for actual bids or
quotes for the work. Contacted Dave Grant verbally 4/21/16 at Town Hall $7,845.
Repair/new fencing for the cemetery $26,000
• UnCommon Theater Company: All set on the request $4,740.
• Faith Fellowship Melodist Church: All set on the request. $1,550.
• Our Daily Bread: All set on request for clarification on the steel doors was explained.
The doors are on the front of the building $2,500. Chairs are stored in the building and
used each Saturday.
