FACILITY PHASE H UPGRADE PROJECT NO. CWSRF-403' -1 E I V E D
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQs) iOFFICE
In accordance with ST. 2004. c. 193 and M.G.L. c. 140 D40'�AL?I)Ah�IvM Regional
Wastewater District is seeking qualified general contractors.,and,-fiilpd; sub -contractors to
submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for the construe'411 ¢4ements to the
existing 3.14 mgd wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to exp and`to'�rage day flow
of 4.14 mgd including construction of a new primary clariflocculator, new primary sludge
pwnp station, new anoxic tanks, new secondary clarifier, and new chlorine contact tank.
Also included are replacement of the existing influent pumps, modifications to the
existing primary sludge pump station, existing aeration tanks, existing activated sludge
pump station, and existing effluent filters, replacement of the plant water pumps and all
chemical feed systems, removal of the sludge processing equipment, and other process
building improvements including new laboratory and administrative facilities, drainage
and site improvements, and all other work necessary to complete the work under this
Contract including demolition, site work, yard piping, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC,
electrical and instrumentation and controls.
Sub -bid categories include: masonry; miscellaneous and ornamental iron; waterproofing,
dampproofing and caulking; roofing and flashing; metal windows; glass and glazing;
lathing and plastering; tile; acoustic tile; resilient floors; painting; fire protection;
plumbing; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and electrical work.
Any contractor seeking to be prequalified as both a general contractor and subcontractor
for a particular filed sub -bid trade(s) is required to file separate responses to this RF Q.
The estimated cost of this project is $30 million dollars. Interested firms may
request the RFQs from Daniel Thompson at CDM Smith, 860-808-2303 or
tlrsonds n edmsmith.com beginning on January 20d, 2016. RFQs may be mailed,
faxed or emailed, as requested. General contractors and filed sub -contractors must
be pre -qualified to bid on the project. The deadline when SOQs are due is
Wednesday, February 3`d, 2016 at 4:00 PM for both sub -contractors and general
contractors. The SOQ shall be submitted to the MFN Regional Wastewater District
