BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING - APRIL 4, 2015
Attendance: Nancy Breef-Pilz, Leonard Epstein, Joe Flynn, John Walgreen and Director
Catherine Coyne. Joe convened the meeting at 8:20 a.m.
Secretary's report. Minutes of the February 21 meeting were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer's reports. The treasurer's reports for January, February and March were
reviewed and approved.
Librarian's report. The librarians' reports were reviewed and discussed. The One Book
One Community project went well, although attendance was less than anticipated. Several residents
did readings on Mansfield cable. Cassie and Kitty attended a conference in Worcester focusing on
summer reading programs. Catherine reported the receipt of the year's second installment of state
aid, $14,642.70.
OLD BUSINESS
Budget. Catherine reported that the library's budget is in good shape for the final thirteen
weeks of the fiscal year.
NEW BUSINESS
Town Meeting. The upcoming town meeting was discussed.
Holiday schedule. Catherine reported that Town Hall will be closing early on July 2 and
will remain closed through the holiday weekend.
Media drop. The library has a new after hours drop box for media. A plaque specifying
"media only" will be attached. MEG funds were used for the acquisition.
Next meeting. May 13, 2015 (tentative). The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
