The Mansfield School Committee attended an open Capi%ty gl#Jhig �rhA ANIld at the Town
Hall on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The open meeting session was opened and called to order at
7:00 pm. a„ .

Lynn Cavicchi, Vice Chair (arrived at 7:11 pm)

Committee sat through presentation from Tighe and Bond consultants. There were two parts to the
presentation.
a. Overview of the two MSBA funding programs: ARP and Core. The ARP (Accelerated
repair program) funds reimbursements on windows, boilers and roofs only. Funding
reimbursement percentage is calculated by a formula. Mansfield would end up around
50%. These are rapid programs with designers already contracted through MSBA. Core
program is for larger projects (additions, new buildings, remodels). These are longer
programs.
b. Second part of presentation focused on Mansfield's needs and a recommended timeline,
separating out the reimbursable items by program.
Consultants will work with Mike Ahern and Ed to make sure we are ready with the all the
information needed for the application (some time in January).
School Committee will discuss and vote at neat meeting what the priority should be for 2017

and Lauren Scher seconded.
