The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from September 18, 2014. Passes.
Shelter Maintenance
• The security alarm is not working properly: the alarm is muted. Jeff and Mike Ahern are
aware of the problem.
• The cold water faucet in the utility room is probably stripped, and needs repair.
• Jeff will remove the outside hose stand, which is no longer usable.
• A whiteboard is available for Gary to install in the kennel.
• Carol mentioned that half the guillotine door flaps are missing. Jeff said he has spares.
• The lock on the quarantine room window is broken. Jeff said he can fix it with a spare
lock.
Fostered Animals
• Karen Prevett has two black kittens that will soon come to the shelter.
Veterinary
• Frozen, the Foxboro cat, might have medical problems. Lori will schedule a visit to
Lloyds for bloodwork.

A.C.O. Report
• Unless advised otherwise by town counsel, Jeff plans to have David Aristide's
confiscated dogs vaccinated and spayed or neutered. He would also like to get the
remaining adult dogs from the Norton ACO, because they are costing $30/day.
Miscellaneous
• Jeff will set up the dog scale in the kennel, where the dog crates currently are.
• At the next meeting Ana would like to review the Foxboro Agreement and our Facebook
setup.
