The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 8:15 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from October 16, 2014. Passes. (November meeting was
cancelled.)
Internet Issues
• Carol requested that a note be included on the website indicating that the dog adoption
process takes time, and that applicants are requested to make several visits to the shelter.
with every member of the family meeting the dog, before an application is approved.
• Carol requested that any emails coming to the AWC account be forwarded to all AWC
members, not just to Jeff.
• Stacy requested that a note be added to the dog section of the website indicating that
people who have lost dogs should contact Granite State Recovery because only adoptable
dogs are posted on the website.
• The current Facebook page is a personal page. Ana would like to set up a Facebook page
similar to the MPD page, using town guidelines. Carol will study how to shut down the
current Facebook page and create a new town page for the shelter. In the meantime.
Maria will continue to maintain the private Facebook page.
• Ana requested that all Foxboro dogs and cats be entered into the shelter database so that
reports can be run totaling them. This includes Foxboro dogs for whom Sue does the
adoption screening.

ACO Report
• The No Trespass order for David Aristide is still in effect.
• One of David's young dogs seems to have a health issue. Volunteers reported that on two
occasions they observed the dog's legs give out so that she collapsed. Jeff will have Dr.
Trapani examine the dog.
Miscellaneous
Stacy is still working with feral cats, and would like to be notified if the shelter gets calls
reporting them.
