The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from May, 2015.
Dogs
• Claire (dog trainer) has been fostering and working with Molini who is now housetrained,
and much improved. Claire will be going on vacation for two weeks, and a temporary
foster needs to be found, otherwise Molini will return to the shelter.
• Carol Kosel will get in touch with Colleen Riley again regarding finding a foster home
for the adult poodle.
Maintenance
Several window locks in the cattery are broken. Jeff will fix or replace them.
Foster Care
Many kittens are still in foster homes until they are old enough for their first distemper
shots.
Veterinary
Dr. Trapani checked Gizmo and said he looked good.

Miscellaneous
• Several cats will come to the shelter through Sue Tibedeau, who is helping another
ACO who is dealing with a hoarding situation.
• A pit puppy will be coming in through Stephanie Putnam — the owner is divorced and
can no longer keep the dog. The dog is reportedly a good family dog.
