We have received bids for necessary blasting that we are aware of on site. The bids came in at $96,000 and we only had (1) bidder Maine Drilling and Blasting Company. In addition to the blasting services, we own the cost of an excavator, fire details and miscellaneous stone. We have anticipated the closure of Rt 106 for very minimal times (5 —10 min) during the blasting, and the police department has agreed to use line cars whereas it will only be 5 — 10 min twice a day. I have estimated the on-site blasting number with other services that go along with it for $183,320. 2. The berm has been completed up to the northern edge. We met with the landscape architect and have staked out tree locations on the berm (approximately 25 trees). Due to extremely hot weather, we have postponed the planting of the trees and seeding of the berm until mid- September. 3. Due to significant ledge / large boulders in southern area of the site, this has postponed our ability to relocate the 18" and 12" water mains on site and putting the underground utilities in. We anticipate starting the water main relocation work and electric utility work mid-September. 4. We recently met with VHB regarding the signalization at the East St / Pratt St intersection and the Fire Preemption signaling on the east end of the site. These traffic signals are anticipated to be bid Winter 2017 and work started July 2017 which will be in dose proximity to full signalization by the time the DPW building is occupied in Fall 2017. 5. We met with representatives of the electric department, Verizon and Comcast and have confirmed that we will be using wood poles along Rt 106 in lieu of underground services. The services feeding the site will all be underground from the South side of Rt 106 into the site. This decision to switch from underground to overhead along the south side of Rt 106 was made due to the extreme cost of placing the conduits underground. 6. We have excavated and shaped the large retention basin on the Northern end of the site. Project Schedule 7. We have reviewed the 90% submission documents and forwarded most of our comments to KBA and the balance of out comments will be forwarded by the end of the week. Presently it appears we are going to stay on schedule and have bidding documents available on or about August 18, 2016. I have enclosed a budget including soft costs and construction costs for review based on the 90% drawings and specifications. 8. We have completed the Conservation Commission process and have received an NOI for the site. We went through the site plan approval process and received input from the various department heads and KBA is working to address their concerns. We are scheduled to meet with the Planning Board and the Board of Selectman August 10 to complete the municipal clearing house process. Stakes showing location of trees on South end of berth.
