Light in the bay will be much better. Lowers roof line a little bit,
materials being
v more light and
now. Community room opened up a bit, more
i the tone of room. KBA is still working on
drawings, not completely there yet. `"Sun will be controlled, sun shades if necessary. Will do sun
analysis, no concern of glare in apparatus bay. Translucent panel or laminated layer.
Question on community room: main lobby, no protection for police officers now that it is all
glass. Will this meet as requirement as EOC now that it is glass. No protection if there are 60
officers in there having -a class. Can price out different options on glass, etc. Will send ratings to
see caliber and stand off distance, level 3, 1 '/2-2" look. Need for ballistic glass or opaque walls.
Room darkening shades an option.
Neal Boldrighini: Different design then what was talked about. Wanted more of a traditional
look for fire house, not seeing that at all. General discussion regarding space size, roof, etc.
KBA will go back and look at it again. Asking for our input...
Jeff Alberti presenting his drawings for the DPW facility. Rearranged space a little bit. Increase
plumbing room space. Basic changes to aesthetics. Brick colors from water dept. building to
try and work it together. Portion of the roof might be coming up for bridge crane.
Per Bob Barry: Building Committee needs to have on file document set of drawings, etc.
Impact of having a lot of snow, dripping, etc. held the snow, worked great.

Two Week Look Ahead of what is needed/anticipated by MBC-OPM or Design Team
Mike Ahern reviewing list of items on design decision and Deliverables Log
Going to look into buying generators ourselves.
Construction specs: Chris Paquin would like them electronically.
Commissioning Agent: separate entity engaged by owner. Looks at all systems and how they
immigrate. Engineers do not do testing it is not in their contract. Writes protocol for systems in
the off season also does balancing. Engineer of record goes through what report says. Agent
goes around with balancer. Second set of eyes on everything, designs, field reviews, etc.
Observes testing, doesn't do actual testing. Test pressures: different standards to be tested at.
Good money well spent. Commissioning Agent works for you. Put an RFP out for this
position.
Pre -qualifications: Committee should set up meeting to go over nextsteps
