Bryan Young: What dollar value do you want to give Mike Ahern to sign off on? Big value?
Small value?
General discussion about the dollar amount to agree on. Per change or total?
CCD=construction change direct—agree to do work, doesn't guarantee funds
Bob: how do you control the cost for a CCD if you don't know what it is? ASI (Architects
Supplemental Instructions) is a no cost change and generally expands on clarifications of plans
and/or specifications.
Bryan Young's recommendation is that Mike Ahern can sign up to $25k on non -owner changes
and $0 on owner driven changes. Everything should funnel through Mike then he brings it to the
board. Everything should go in writing to Mike, with a note to the board not through architect or
anyone else. Mike can sign off on single instances.
