additional parking ed to the north side of the DPW building; 2) parking canopy behind
police station for 10 v s; 3) un -insulated metal outbuilding for police use behind police
station; 4) second or adds a 10 car carport added to the first one.
Mike's recommendation is ce we have the money, we go with all four alternates if evaluation
of GC goes well.
Motion To award Public Safety Complex and DPW Garage to Boston Building
and Bridge Corp. for submitted bid amount and also recommend all the
alternates as they are noted 1,2,3, & 4 to the project as part of this base
contract pending review of their file and Mike Ahern's input back to the
Board and going to make recommendation to Bill Ross to award

Mike Ahern asks just to be clear, if he comes back and writes a recommendation, Bill
Ross can then award contract and we don't have to have another meeting. Chris Paquin says we
shouldn't have to have another meeting unless there is a red flag.
General discussion about time frame moving forward and documentation needed.
Bob Barry recommends having discussion with contractor sooner than later to get things going.
Mike Ahern will let Bill Ross know bidding information and will let media know.
Chris Paquin made announcement that Maureen Doherty will be returning as MBC member.
Mike Ahern is going over project review about soft costs and self -performed work with handout.
Mike recommends we pay for traffic,signals.

Increased on site blasting fee. 1/3 acre had to blast. Because of house foundations being so
close, blaster is not allowed to blast the last 5 feet, had to go down to 8'feet, less vibrations this
way. This is the only number changed in estimate. No complaints from residents on blasting.
Blasting company did a great job.
Starting water main relocations hopefully by end of
installations. Verizon will be going in within next 6

Other News:
Effective November of this year, MBC Meeting Minutes will be linked to the town website
online.
MBC will help Mike Ahern with House Doctor for schools.
Hired Tighe and Bond to help with organizing the FEA Report in a format that will show
funding types and options by possibly using state funds for school capital projects.
Update on Regional 911: Contract went out and,execr
