Old Business Lou Amoruso mentioned that the street lights are out on Francis Ave. near National Lumber. Jack Beliveau advised that when they do their annual survey tomorrow they will check it out. Dave McCarter brought up the lights at the East Street field being left on. Jack Beliveau advised it is cheaper to keep them on then install the switch that would be necessary to turn them off and on. Discussion will be held with the school department on this switch. Town Manager D' Agostino said he had spoken with Father George at St. Mary's and the lack of a banner did not impede their event. r B. MetriCom Rich Procitio, representing Metricom, a California based company, met with the commissioners to discuss use of the town poles for installation of a wireless network. This would serve, at a cost, laptop computers for Internet access by way of sending a constant signal. The installation would take two days and the town would receive a percentage of the revenues. Concerns were raised in setting a precedent at this time by granting this request before a policy has been established. It would take approximately two to three months to write a policy. John D' Agostino and Jack Beliveau will meet with Attorney August to discuss this matter. This policy, when finalized, would require a town meeting vote of approval. Cable TV Brother Alexis is looking for a feeling from townspeople on Mansfield having their own cable TV company. This will be discussed at the next meeting. Next meeting November 6, 2000. 7. Adjournment Motion to adjourn McCarter/Amos. Motion passed 5-0. r Respectfully submitted. Deborah Button ,.. '.
