Light Department Director's Report
a. Financial Report
Financial Report was handed out to members. Cost of electricity is very
high, due to increase cost in oil. If a rate increase is necessary in the
future Mr. Beliveau would recommend an increase to industrial instead of
a residential.
b. Cambridge Communications Proposal
A proposal was handed out to members to enter into a contract with
Cambridge Communications. It outlined installing Fiber Optic Cable
for 1.8 miles of Maple Street. Light Department would own cable _
then lease back for $50,000 each year - for 20 years.
Dave McCarter asked if Cambridge Communications would be willing
to come in to make a formal proposal to the board. Amos Robinson
questioned the 20 year commitment. Mr. Beliveau said Cambridge
would consider a 10 year commitment. Members will discuss this again
at next month's meeting.

c. Service to town facilities
Mr. Beliveau stated the cost of town facilities needed to be looked
at. example: sports fields.
The SCADA project had three respondents. ICCS being the
lowest at $333,259.00. ICCS has designed to current SCADA
sysfem at the Mansfield Water Department. The original estimate, a
year ago, was approximately $200,000. Lou Amoruso noted that this
system will be over budget, and that we need to look at projects in
the future so that this does not become the norm.
Motion: To award the project to ICCS at a bid of$333,250.00.
