4. Health Agent's Report
a. 530 South Main Street
Scott wanted the Board to know that he has not heard from Ruth Tweedy.
Recently he e-mailed Ruth's daughter; she has spoken to her mother and told Scott Ruth hasn't
made a decision about where she would like to go. Scott feels Mrs. Tweedy does not want to go
back to her home. He has been in touch with Bristol Elder Services to try to place Ruth in suitable
housing.
b. Resolution of local septic system regulation
Reinstatement of the wetland distance requirements in the Mansfield Board of Health Require-
ments for the Subsurface Disposal of Sanitary Sewage, dated October 3, 2002. The Town
Clerk told Scott the Board did not have to vote to reinstate the requirements since they
were never formally taken out.
c. New England Folk Festival Food Permit Status
3 applications have been returned for vendors. Scott told the Board Maureen Carey would hire a
certified Foodhandler for the event instead of having the vendors for the event be certified
individually.
d. Alleged incident at Shaws Supermarket
,-
Scott received a call from Barbara Coe of Foxborough, MA about an alleged incident at the Shaws in
Mansfield. While at the store, she complained of dizziness caused by a smell at the store and
eventually she was transported by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
T .
The Fire Department was called to the store and air-quality checks were done. Nothing was
detected.
e. Bristol/Norfolk Emergency Management
r'
The Town of Mansfield has joined with 10 of the surrounding towns to form the Bristol-Norfolk
Medical Reserve Corps. The Corps will involve the town Fire, Police, Health Departments,
School and Public Health Nurses and the Red Cross. Each town will be seeking volunteers
