Finance Committee Members Present:
Andrew Gazzolo (presiding)

These minutes were prepared by Greg Arnold. The meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m.
Matters Discussed and/or Voted On
A discussion was had concerning the follow-up on last evening's meeting with the Selectmen, at
which the Finance Committee's "4.89% increase" budget proposal was presented.
Superintendent Moretti had raised some good questions about the treatment of Special Education
costs and the Finance Committee needed to look into it some more.

The School Department's Special Warrant Article concerning a short-fall in Special Education
funding was also discussed. It was agreed that more information was needed, and that a meeting
with the School Department representatives would try to be set up.
The $1 million cap on CIP!borrowing costs was discussed in relation to the budget requests.
The Meeting closed at approximately 8:00 p.m.
