The Commonwealth of MA encourages cities and towns to update their Master Plan within every ten years and some grant funding is available for this purpose. Chair McCarter and Selectman McCue both feel that this is a worthwhile endeavor and will look for the funding to support this. In addition, Selectman Amoruso reiterates that development in town has changed drastically in the past ten years and he too thinks a new Master Plan is needed at this time. Selectman Baldwin and Selectman Dentino are also in favor of this. Discussion of Warrant Article 17. The Planning Board is requesting $45,000 for a TOD Traffic Study. Town Manager D'Agostino has meet with staff from Fire, Police, Building and Health. He gave a brief overview of the discussion of this meeting and the revised parking/busing plans provided by NEFFA. Selectman Baldwin asked about the use of the Home Economics room at the Qualters Middle School. Mr. Lynch assures the Board that the festival participants will not misuse any of the school buildings or equipment. Selectman Baldwin also asked about the parking issues that would be created by any youth sports going on in the area. Any sports programs that would be scheduled for that weekend in the school area have been postponed. There are still lingering questions about parking and the use of a parking plan from both the Town Manager and the Selectmen. After a lengthy discussion Chairman McCarter asked the FEFF A representatives to revise their parking/busing plans to reflect how many cars they will expect at each lot and for different peak times during the day. The reps were also asked to come back next week with that plan/alternative plans and go over it again with the Board, the police and school representatives.
