3. Questions and Comments
• 6:15pm- Geoff Williamson- Hutchason Field improvement project discussion.
• 6:30pm- Ian Bryer- Eagle Scout project discussion.
4. Facilities:
• Blackhawks Youth Soccer- permitted Hutchason Field 5 Sundays, $350.00 maintenance fee in addition to
weekly field use fees.
• Fultons Pond weddings- Friday, October 10 & Saturday, October 11.
• MMAS Annual Southern MA Arts Festival- Friday, Sept. 19- Sunday, Sept. 21.
• Annual Celebration of Animals- South Common, October 4th, benefitting Mansfield Animal Shelter.
5. Old Business:
• Open Space & Recreation Plan- workshops to be scheduled, Recreation attendance requested.
• SRPEDD Bike Rack Program update.
• Free the Captive Ministry Basketball Tournament, Memorial Park, event update.
• Friends of Memorial Park, Memorial Park Ice Cream Social, August 28, event update.
6. New Business:
• Possible use of the Elks /Karate Studio (Oakland Street) for our Preschool program.
• Memorial Park and Plymouth Street refinishing began the week of September 8d; the project will take
approximately one month. Basketball Courts are scheduled to be refinished spring 2015.
• New program- Halloween Costume Swap, Wednesday, October 15, 6:00- 8:00pm.
• Halloween Parade & Party, Saturday, October 25, 2:00pm.
• Arts & Crafts Show, Saturday, November 1, 10:00am- 3:00pm.
• Next Meeting: October 14, 21, or 28.
