Finance & Operations Report:
Zeff Gianetti brought to the committee's attention a new increase in special education outplacement
costs. The latest increase of $330,000 brings the total overage close to $1 million. This is a
significant change and one that we could not predict. This is largely due to IEP changes in student
placements. We anticipate $172,000 of the $330,000 to comeback to us next year via the circuit
breaker.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sub Committee Updates:
1. Audit: On 1/20/16 a new audit committee member was appointed. Next meeting on
2/11/16.
2. CIP: Plan in place will hold. Likely no requests will go out for funding this year. State
will appoint an architect and we will look toward the following year to see what can be applied.
3. Budget: Meeting with town to be held on Wednesday 1/27/16.
4. Policy: Some outstanding for approval tonight. Plan is to wrap up modifications soon and
then move to MASC to take over our policy support.
