Conservation Commission Meeting immediately following the Recreation Commission
r Meeting.
Fulton's Pond Discussion:
A. Lorilee discusses the YMCA's non-permitted overuse of Fulton's Pond. The Recreation
Department has always obtained permission for use of Fulton's Pond for the Fishing
Derby, Duck Race, birthday parties. weddings, etc. Lorilee questions as to whether the
permitting process should go through the Recreation Department or remain with the
Conservation Commission.
B. Paul Boyden states the basic design and intent for Fulton's Pond has always been passive
recreation land.
C. 1eny St. Hilaire questions if passive recreation land should be included as a permitting
area.
D. Paul Boyden reports the Conservation COmmission will look at the issue and meet again
to discuss the feedback with the Recreation Commission.

Otis Street Discussion:
r--
A. 10hn D' Agostino reports the Town and Mansfield Little League have to update the lease
agreement produced in 1989. Any lease greater than three years must be put out to bid
in the competitive bid process. Overall. the Town must legitimize the lease between
itself and Mansfield Little League. Mr. D' Agostino would like to structure the lease to
mirror the current lease.
B. Together with the Recreation Commission, Lorilee is concerned about the clinics held
within Otis Street. The Recreation Department is not aware who is utilizing the fields.
By obtaining responsibility to permit, the Recreation Department and the Town will have
all relevant information available.
C. Paul Boyden suggests the Recreation Commission, the Conservation Commission, and
10hn D' Agostino schedule a meeting to discuss the Otis Street permitting process.
Respectfully Submitted.
